Judy Hammarmeister, 64, of Iowa Falls, passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City. A short service will begin at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, June 17, 2024  at the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls with a time of sharing memories to follow. Marlyn Balvanz, 84, of Iowa Falls, passed away June 11, 2024 at his home in Iowa Falls. Funeral services were set for 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 14, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Iowa Falls with burial in the Pleasant Hill Grant Township Cemetery and visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls.

Julie Schall, 54, of Hampton, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at her home in Hampton, Iowa. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 7th, 2024 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Hampton with burial in the Hampton Cemetery. Mildred “Milly” Hendrickson, 92, of Hampton, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2024 at the Rehabilitation Center of Hampton. Woodley Funeral Home and Crematory of Hampton is caring for Milly and her family.

Anna Mae (Annie) Avery was born near Galt, IA to Dillard and Luelda (McKinley) Tudor on Feb. 3, 1932. At the age of three weeks, they moved to the Tudor farm north of Rowan. She attended school at Rowan and graduated with the class of 1949. After graduation she worked at the Azeltine grocery.

Jim Hanson, 92, formerly of Dumont, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Franklin Country View Care Center in Hampton. Memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 15, at New Hope United Methodist Church, Dumont, with Pastor Dennis Burns presiding. There will be no burial at this time. Visitation will be at the church 2 hours prior to the service.

Annette Pauline Scholl was born on July 8, 1953 to James and Marlene (Nielsen) Sheriff in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Jim and Marlene moved to a farm outside of Rockwell in 1966. In 1971, Annette graduated from Rockwell-Swaledale High School. On November 24, 1973, Annette was joined in holy matrimony to Mark Eugene Scholl, the son of Ralph and Ida Rose Scholl of Rockwell. Mark and Annette have three children, Meagen, Justin and Jordan.

Mary L. Feldhoff, 87, of Hampton, passed away Friday, March 1, 2024, at the Rehabilitation Center of Hampton. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Faith Baptist Church in Hampton. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Marvin Honold, 91, of Grinnell, died on Friday, February 23, 2024, at UnityPoint Grinnell Regional Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, March 1, 2024, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Grinnell with Rev. Dr. Joel Koepp officiating. A luncheon will follow the service at the church.
