Karolyn Johansen, 71, of Latimer, passed away on Friday, December 15, 2023 at her home in Latimer. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in rural Hampton with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Sietsema-Atkinson Funeral Home in Hampton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. John’s Lutheran Church.

Marsha Roland, 78, of Alden, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at her home in Alden. Funeral arrangements are pending with the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls. 

James Suter, 80, of Hampton, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at the Rehabilitation Center of Hampton. A private family burial will take place in the Hampton Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Sietsema-Atkinson Funeral Home in Hampton. 

Victor Jass, 91, of Alden, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at Scenic Manor in Iowa Falls. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Monday, December 18, 2023 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Alden with burial in the Alden Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday at the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls. 

Beverly (Lumley) Wright, 76, of Creston, formerly of Iowa Falls, Iowa, died Friday, December 8, 2023 at the Creston Specialty Care in Creston. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. on Friday, December 15, 2023 at the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls with burial in the Old Chapin Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls.

Chloe Stock, 93, of Hampton, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at Franklin General Hospital in Hampton. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Friday, December 15, 2023 at the Sietsema-Atkinson Funeral Home in Hampton with burial in the Hampton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. before the service. A luncheon will follow at the Hampton United Methodist Church following the graveside service.

Donald Dwight Rector, 89, of Clarion, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at Iowa Specialty Hospital in Clarion.
He was born on September 1, 1934 in Hampton, Iowa to Charlie and Jennie Rector. He spent his youth living in the Hampton and Alexander area and graduated from Alexander High School in 1952.  He was a proud United States Air Force Veteran.

Gary Robert Butson, 81, passed away November 21, 2023 at his home in Thornton, Colorado. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. on Friday, December 1, 2023 at the Sietsema-Atkinson Funeral Home in Hampton. Funeral services will be at 12 p.m. on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at the Sietsema-Atkinson Funeral Home in Hampton with burial in the Lindenwood Cemetery in Geneva.

Arlene Troester, 97, of Hampton, died on November 27 at Franklin General Hospital. Funeral Services were held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hampton with Rev. Karl Bollhagen and Vicar Jason Shepard officiating. A private burial was held at St.Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Latimer. Woodley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. 

Lynn Dean Depping, 76, of Madrid passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 28, 2023. 
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, December 4, at the Iles Sundberg Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Madrid, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m, Tuesday, December 5th at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Madrid with a luncheon to follow. Burial will take place at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery at 2 pm. 

Richard D. (Rick) Linn, 75, of Honolulu, Hawaii, formerly of Iowa Falls, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023. A time of visitation for Rick Linn will be from 4:00 to 7:00 pm Monday, December 4, 2023, at The Linn’s Funeral Home, 1521 Washington Avenue, Iowa Falls, Iowa 50126. Burial will be Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at Oak Hill Cemetery, Parkersburg, Iowa.

Nicholas Ray Piersol, 44, passed away in Coulter, Iowa Wednesday, November 22, 2023. A celebration of Nick’s life will be held Saturday December 2, 2023, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Adams Celebration of Life in Owasa, Iowa. Please dress casually. A private burial will be at a later date. With honor, Adams Celebration of Life is serving the family. 
Nick was a loving Son, Grandson, Brother, Father, Grandfather and friend.
