Marabelle Abbas, 80, of Latimer, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2024 at the Rehabilitation Center of Hampton. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. on Monday, December 2, 2024 at the Sietsema-Atkinson Funeral Home in Hampton with burial in the St. Peter's Cemetery in rural Coulter. June Hurley, 88, of Alden, passed away on Monday, November 25, 2024 at Scenic Manor in Iowa Falls. Funeral services are pending with the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls. 

Roger “Butch” Grummer, 82, of Latimer, passed away with family by his side on Sunday, November 24, 2024, at Mayo Clinic Hospital - Methodist Campus in Rochester, Minnesota. Visitation was held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 29, 2024, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Latimer. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 30, 2024, at the church. Following the service, Butch was laid to rest at the St.

Velma Irene Backes Butt, a beloved mother, wife, sister and friend, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2024, at the age of 90. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Alden with burial in Union Cemetery on the family farm southeast of Dows. Visitation will be an hour before the service. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls. 

Robert G. Ewers, age 83 of Yuma, AZ passed away November 14, 2024 in Yuma, Arizona. Robert was a veteran of the US Air Force, and worked as Chief of Police in Sheffield for 22 years before retirement. He was born November 19, 1940 in Mason City, Iowa. Cremation and arrangements were entrusted to and handled by Reyes Dombrowski Funeral Home.

Dennis Wesenberg, 82, of Dows, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at Scenic Manor in Iowa Falls. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. on Friday, November 29, 2024 at the First Lutheran Church in Dows with a time of fellowship to follow. Visitation will be an hour before the service. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls. 

Tauni Ellen Harmon was born on January 19, 1965, in Hampton, Iowa to Terry and Karen Wheeler (Andersen). She graduated from Hampton High School in 1983. She married her first husband, Jeffrey Sporaa in 1984. They had two children together, Elizabeth and Zachary Sporaa. They later divorced. Tauni married her second husband, Germaine Harmon on May 31st, 2002. They had a son together in 2003 named Michael Harmon.

Donald W. Springer, 81 of Hampton and long-time business owner, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at Franklin General Hospital. Memorial services were 10:30 AM Saturday, November 16, 2024 at the Hampton United Methodist Church. He was laid to rest with a graveside inurnment at the Hampton Cemetery. Visitation was held from 9:30 AM until service time on Saturday at the church.

Elaine Clara Plagge, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend to many, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2024. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, November 7, at Immanuel United Church of Christ in Latimer with visitation at the church on Wednesday, November 6, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.   Burial will take place at the Marion Center Cemetery near Latimer.

William M. Sanders, 84, of Iowa Falls, Iowa passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at Ashbrook Assisted Living in Iowa Falls surrounded by family. Services are currently pending.  With honor, Adams Celebration of Life is serving the family.

Larissia Bultman, 26, of Hampton, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at the Church of the Living Word in Hampton with burial in the South Vilmar Cemetery in rural Allison. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Monday at the Sietsema-Atkinson Funeral Home in Hampton.

David Heldenbrand, 58, of Manly, Iowa formerly of Iowa Falls, Iowa passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at Manly Specialty Care. Services are currently pending.  With honor, Adams Celebration of Life is serving the family.

Raymond Loux, 77, of Sheffield, IA passed away November 7, 2024. Funeral Services will be held at Surls Funeral home, visitation will be at 9:30 a.m. with service to follow at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 16, with burial in Union Cemetery after. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls. 

Janet Meyer, 81, of Alexander, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at the Rehabilitation Center of Hampton. Funeral services were held on Friday, November 1, 2024 at the Immanuel United Church of Christ in Latimer with burial in the Marion Center Cemetery in rural Latimer. Funeral arrangements were under the guidance of the Sietsema-Atkinson Funeral Home in Hampton. 

After seventy-seven trips around the sun on October 28th, 2024, Dennis Gene Bonjour ended his journey with us. He is survived by his longtime significant other Sandy, sisters Becky, Beverly, Linda, Phyllis, brother Howard, oldest son Chris, daughter-in-law Shalini, and grandson Chaitan, the absolute joy of his life.
