Lori Lea (Badger) Koenen, age 66, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Thursday, February 16, 2023 at the University Hospital, Columbia, Mo.
She was born on July 5, 1956 in Grinnell, Iowa, a daughter of Richard Lee “Dick” and Arlene Kay (Trotter) Badger. Lori was a 1974 graduate of Hampton High School in Hampton, Iowa. She later married Craig Koenen and to this union, her three daughters were born. 

Dennis Dean Horner, age 78, of Hampton, Iowa, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2023, at his home, surrounded by his family.

Jane Johns, 86, of Ackley, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2023 at her home in Ackley. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at the East Friesland Presbyterian Church in rural Ackley with burial in the Hazel Green Cemetery. Alvin Reiter, 81, of Ackley, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at Grand JiVante in Ackley. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at the Austinville Christian Reformed Church with burial in the Washington Reformed Cemetery. Carol Elaine Allen, 69, of Popejoy, Iowa, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2023, at Mercy One Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. Funeral service for Carol Elaine Allen will be 11:00 AM Friday February 24, 2023, at Linn’s Funeral Home, 1521 Washington Avenue, Iowa Falls, Iowa, 50126.  Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home with a reception following services.

Maryln Johnson, 84, of Iowa Falls, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2023 at her home. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at the United Methodist Church in Alden with burial in the Jackson Township Cemetery. Sue Humphrey, 90, of Iowa Falls, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at the Hansen Family Hospital in Iowa Falls. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls with burial in the Friends Cemetery. Visitation will be an hour before the service.    Mike Alderdyce, 81, of Latimer, died Tuesday, February 7, 2o23 at Grand JiVante Care Center in Ackley. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Counsell Woodley Funeral Home, Hampton is caring for Mike and his family.

Norma Viet, 89, of Ackley, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Monday, February 20, 2023 at the Ackley United Methodist Church with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be an hour before the service at the church. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Sietsema Funeral Home in Ackley. 

Eileen Johnson, age 90, of Parkersburg, Iowa, was born the daughter of Henry and Minnie (Warschkow) Bennewitz, on May 28, 1932, in Hampton, Iowa. She graduated from Dows High School in 1949 and went to further her education at Ellsworth Community College in Iowa Falls, Iowa. At the age of 50, Eileen graduated from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, with a degree in Religion.

Melvin H. Uhlenhopp, 87, of Ackley, Iowa, passed away February 9, 2023, at Grand Ji Vante in Ackley. Per Melvins wishes there will be no services.

Caren Ann (Bruns) Green, age 84, formerly of Alden, IA passed away Sunday, February 5th, 2023. Caren was born in Belmond, IA on August 28 th , 1938, to Fred and Elsie (Muhlenbruch) Bruns. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. 

Marlene Marie (Dreyer) Sandersfeld, 90, of Latimer, Iowa, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2023, at Franklin Country View Nursing Facility in Hampton.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 11, 2023, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Latimer, with burial in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, February 10, 2023, at Counsell Woodley Funeral Home in Hampton.
