Marjorie Ann (Hanig) Kampman, 94, died on February 19, 2023, at Franklin Country View Nursing Facility, in Hampton, Iowa, just two days shy of the 40th anniversary of her husband's death. Marj was a longtime resident of Dumont, Iowa.

Kurtis Kelsey, 79, of Iowa Falls, passed away surrounded by his family, Sunday, February 26, 2023, at Scenic Manor in Iowa Falls. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. With honor, Adams Celebration of Life is serving the family. 

Louis Carl Schoning, 92, of Sheffield, sadly left us on February 18, 2023, at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, February 24, 2023, at Zion St. John Lutheran Church in Sheffield. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 25, 2023, at Zion St. John Lutheran Church in Sheffield. Burial will take place at Hillside Cemetery in Sheffield.

Peggi Meyer, 59, of Latimer, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023 at her home. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at the Sietsema-Atkinson Funeral Home in Hampton. Lori Lea (Badger) Koenen, age 66, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Thursday, February 16, 2023 at the University Hospital, Columbia, Mo.
She was born on July 5, 1956 in Grinnell, Iowa, a daughter of Richard Lee “Dick” and Arlene Kay (Trotter) Badger. Lori was a 1974 graduate of Hampton High School in Hampton, Iowa. She later married Craig Koenen and to this union, her three daughters were born. 

Dennis Dean Horner, age 78, of Hampton, Iowa, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2023, at his home, surrounded by his family.

Jane Johns, 86, of Ackley, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2023 at her home in Ackley. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at the East Friesland Presbyterian Church in rural Ackley with burial in the Hazel Green Cemetery. Carol Elaine Allen, 69, of Popejoy, Iowa, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2023, at Mercy One Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. Maryln Johnson, 84, of Iowa Falls, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2023 at her home. Sue Humphrey, 90, of Iowa Falls, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at the Hansen Family Hospital in Iowa Falls. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls with burial in the Friends Cemetery. Visitation will be an hour before the service. Norma Viet, 89, of Ackley, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Monday, February 20, 2023 at the Ackley United Methodist Church with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be an hour before the service at the church. Eileen Johnson, age 90, of Parkersburg, Iowa, was born the daughter of Henry and Minnie (Warschkow) Bennewitz, on May 28, 1932, in Hampton, Iowa. She graduated from Dows High School in 1949 and went to further her education at Ellsworth Community College in Iowa Falls, Iowa. At the age of 50, Eileen graduated from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, with a degree in Religion.

Melvin H. Uhlenhopp, 87, of Ackley, Iowa, passed away February 9, 2023, at Grand Ji Vante in Ackley. Per Melvins wishes there will be no services.
