Richard LeRoy Miller, 68, of Hampton, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, December 9, 2022. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 15, 2022, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hampton. Inurnment will take place in the Hampton Cemetery at a later date. Mary Lou Roth (Redfern) passed away in the early hours of Thursday, December 1, 2022 at the Guthrie County Hospital at the age of 86.  She was born December 3, 1935 in Guthrie Center, Iowa to Lyle and Margaret Redfern (Breitenstein).  She was a woman who always shared her smile, kind words, and wise advice with others and will be dearly missed.

Sharon Rae Smit, 79, of Sheffield, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at MercyOne North Iowa Hospice in Mason City. 

Dalton Jones, 69 of Montezuma passed away Monday, November 28, 2022 in Des Moines. A private family graveside service will be held in the Ivy Hill Cemetery in Malcom. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in family’s name and may be sent to the Holland-Coble Funeral Home, in care of Dalton Jones, P.O. Box 727, Montezuma, Iowa 50171. Holland-Coble Funeral Home of Montezuma is in charge of arrangements.

John Edward Showalter, 71, of Hampton, passed away at his home on November 17, 2022. Funeral services was held at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hampton, IA at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 22nd. Visitation was from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, November 21st also at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Services will be live streamed by St. Paul Lutheran Church. Private family burial will take place at the Hampton Cemetery.

Kathie Pickard, 74, of Iowa Falls, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at Scenic Manor in Iowa Falls. A visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, November 18, 2022 at the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls. A private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to honor Kathie's wishes. 

Helen “Patty” Marie Blau, 92, of Latimer, Iowa, passed away November 7, 2022, at Franklin General Hospital in Hampton, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 11, 2022, at Counsell Woodley Funeral Home in Hampton. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 12, 2022, at Zion Reformed Church in rural Sheffield. Burial will take place in the Alexander Cemetery.

Mary Ann Parrott, 85, of Hampton, Iowa, passed away Monday, November 7, 2022, at IOOF Home in Mason City.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, November 11, 2022, at Counsell Woodley Funeral Home in Hampton. Visitation was held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, November 10, 2022, at Counsell Woodley Funeral Home in Hampton. Burial will take place in the Hampton Cemetery at a later date.

Irma Rae Harris, 99, of Mason City, passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2022, at the Good Shepherd Health Center. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at 10:30 a.m., at Faith Baptist Church, 1807 South Kentucky, with Pastor Tim Moore officiating. Interment will be held in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery. A visitation will be held at Faith Baptist Church on Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. until the service time.

Kenneth Monroe Anderson, age 83, passed away on Wednesday, November 2 at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines, Iowa, after suffering a heart attack on October 15.
 

Michelle Thompson, 44, of Ankeny and formerly of Alden, passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at the Alden United Methodist Church in Alden with burial in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Popejoy. Visitation will be an hour before the service. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls. 

It is with heavy heart that we announce the passing of Teresa Gillitzer, age 50. Teresa passed away peacefully on Monday, October 31, 2022, surrounded by her loved ones.

Betty Jane Blohm was born on December 2, 1927, in White, South Dakota, to Adam and Ella (Buseman) Winkowitsch. After living for 94 precious years, she left us peacefully on October 23, 2022, to stroll into heaven with Jesus and many of her dearest loved ones.

Robert “Bob” Sanders, 82, passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning, October 26, 2022, at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, Iowa. His family was by his side when he drifted off to be with the Lord.

John Taylor, 89, of Iowa Falls passed away Friday, October 28, 2022, at Scenic Manor Nursing Home in Iowa Falls. Funeral services for John Taylor will be 10:00 am Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at the Linn’s Funeral Home Chapel , Iowa Falls. Time of visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Tuesday, November 1, 2022 also at Linn’s Funeral Home. A Masonic Service will follow visitation at 7:00 pm.
