Dennis Barkela, 71, celebrated entry into his heavenly home on October 21, 2022, at the Rockwell Community Nursing Home in Rockwell, Iowa where he was a resident for several months.
Visitation will be Monday, October 24, 2022 at First Grace Baptist Church, Sheffield from 5-7pm. A private family interment will take place at a later date.

Ruth M. Cuvelier, 99, of Dumont, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at Franklin Country View Nursing Facility in Hampton.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 22, 2022, at New Hope United Methodist Church in Dumont, with burial in the Oak Hill Cemetery, rural Bristow.  Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, October 21, 2022, at Counsell Woodley Funeral Home in Dumont.

Donald Kothenbeutel of Garner, IA has passed away. Great side services for Daonald Kotenbetel on October 1st, from 2:00-3:00 PM at the Marion Center Cemetary. After the services there will coffee and cookies at the Latimer Community Center.

Barton Calvin Schneck left his earthly home to be with the lord on Sept 19, 2022 after a short battle with liver cancer. He was 61 years old. Per his wishes, there are not services planned at this time. 

Elizabeth Piper, age 97, passed away quietly with her family at her side on Tuesday, September 6, 2022.

Dorothy Jean Taylor, 85, of Geneva, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2022 at her home.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at 10:3o a.m., at the Geneva United Methodist Church with Pastor Brent Hamilton presiding. Burial will be at Lindenwood Cemetery.

Kevin Groninga, 66, of Hampton and formerly of Ackley, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at Good Shepherd Health Center in Mason City. A private family burial will take place in West Friesland Cemetery in rural Ackley. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Sietsema Funeral Home in Ackley.

Donald Kothenbeutel of Garner, IA has passed away. A memorial will be held Saturday October 1st, at the Latimer Community Center where there will be coffee and cookies. The visitation will be held on Saturday october 1st at the Marion Center Cemetary, 1015 170th st. Latimer Iowa from 2:00pm - 3:00pm

Rodney Eugene Muller, 67, of Hampton, passed away Friday, September 9, 2022, in rural Hampton.  He was born on October 14, 1954, in Hampton, to Johnny and Viola (Rewerts) Muller.
Rodney graduated from Dumont High School.  He was united in marriage to Gerda Ann Wanner on August 2, 1974, at the Dumont Reformed Church. 

Joyce Jean (Hamblin) Rohde, age 92, of Waverly, Iowa, formerly of Manchester, Iowa, passed away at Bartel’s Lutheran Retirement Community in Waverly on Saturday, September 17, 2022. Joyce was born February 11, 1930, on her parent’s farm in Milo Township in Delaware County, Iowa, the daughter of Harl and Merna (Mangold) Hamblin.

Lyle McElvania, 95, of Liberal, Kansas, and formerly from the Iowa Falls area, died peacefully on August 29, 2022 in Liberal Kansas. A graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at the Alden Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls.

Evelyn Jean Johnson (Meyer), 82, formerly of Latimer, Iowa passed away Monday, August 29, 2022, at Grand JiVante care center in Ackley, Iowa. She was born on September 25, 1939, in Woden, Iowa to Edwin and Eva Ruth (Valley) Meyer.
