At 7-14 on the year and with the regular season coming to a close, the Hampton-Dumont-CAL Bulldogs softball team is looking to finish the regular season on a positive note.
 
Head coach Kelsey Enslin said that the season had been an odd one so far with how the schedule ended working and the ups and downs of the season.
 

DES MOINES—- The Hampton-Dumont-CAL Bulldogs baseball team was unable to comeback after a tough first inning as the Bulldogs fell to the Saydel Eagles 8-4 on June 27. The Bulldogs are now 8-18 on the year. The Bulldogs found themselves down multiple runs early as the Eagles took a 5-0 lead in the bottom of the first.

ST. ANSGAR—-- The Hampton-Dumont-CAL Bulldogs softball team was not able to keep up with St. Ansgar as the Bulldogs fell to the Saints 10-1 on the road on June 20. The Bulldogs dropped to 7-11 on the year.

The season has had its ups and downs for the West Fork Warhawks baseball team as the team is 9-9 on the year and is in fourth place in the Top of Iowa East conference. The team has seen an increase of wins from last year as in the previous season the Warhawks had only five wins. Head coach Kayden Ames said that so far he would view the season as a success but noted that the team is not done yet.
 

The Hampton-Dumont-CAL Bulldogs baseball team hopes to keep building as the team nears the end of the regular season. The Bulldogs are currently 7-16 on the year after going 3-2 this past week with a 5-2 win over Clarion-Goldfield-Dows on June 17, a 9-6 win over West Fork on June 18, a 7-3 loss to Algona on June 19, a 11-3 loss to Algona on June 19, and a 11-6 win over Iowa Falls-Alden on June 21.
 

Things are going well for the West Fork Warhawks softball team right now as the Warhawks are currently on a 5-0 game winning streak. The Warhawds defeated North Butler 9-4 on June 5, and also defeated Nashua-Plainfield 16-0 on June 7, and defeated Riceville 6-2 on June 10, and won against Rockford 13-0 on June 12, and defeated Northwood-Kensett 12-0 on June 14.

HAMPTON—- The Hampton-Dumont-CAL Bulldogs softball team was able to hang on for the win as they defeated the Humboldt Wildcats 5-4 on June 12. The Bulldogs are 4-7 on the year.

HAMPTON— After a rough first inning, the Hampton-Dumont-CAL Bulldogs baseball team kept the game close but fell short to the Humboldt Wildcats 7-3 on June 12. The Bulldogs are now 4-13 on the year.

SHEFFIELD—- It took all the way until the final inning, but the West fork Warhawks completed the comeback against the North Butler Bearcats to win 7-6 at home on June 5. The Warhawks are now 7-6 on the year.
 

HAMPTON—-- The Hampton-Dumont-CAL Bulldogs softball team was not able to keep up with the Clear Lake Lions as the Bulldogs fell 12-1 on June 7 to drop to 2-6 on the year.

ALLISON— The Hampton-Dumont-CAL bulldogs baseball team was in control early on and never looked back in their 14-0 win over the North Butler Bearcats on June 6. The Bulldogs are now 3-10 on the year.

The Hampton-Dumont-CAL Bulldogs softball team went 1-1 this week and improved to 2-2 in the early parts of the season after losing to AGWSR 11-7 on May 28 and defeating Clarion-Goldfield-Dows 9-0 on May 29.

While the season may not have gone the way the Hampton-Dumont-CAL Bulldogs would have liked as the team had a record of 0-14. But head coach Ben Schlachter said that a positive for the Bulldogs this year was how the team grew to trust each other more as the season went along as well as believing in themselves and their teammates.”
 

HAMPTON—- There was some drama at the end but the Hampton-Dumont-CAL Bulldogs baseball team earned their first win of the season after defeating the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Cowboys 8-4 on May 29. The Bulldogs are now 1-7 on the year.

The West Fork Warhawks baseball team won both of their games this past week as the team moved to 2-1 on the year after a 3-2 win over Rockford on May 22 and a 10-0 win over Iowa Falls-Alden on May 23.
Head coach Kayden Ames said that getting the two wins helps the team’s confidence a lot.
