Raarda (Smith) Stilwell, age 82, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Sept. 19, 2025 in Cedar Rapids.
Raarda was born on Oct. 18, 1942, in Cedar Falls, the daughter of Erwin L. Smith and Lida Viola (Haehlen) Smith. Raarda grew up in Cedar Falls and graduated from Cedar Falls High School. She attended Iowa State University before completing her degree in home economics education at Iowa State Teachers College.

Everett Siddell, 79, of Hampton, passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at Franklin General Hospital in Hampton. A private burial will take place in Hampton Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Sietsema-Atkinson Funeral Home in Hampton.

Arliss Fay (Behn) Greimann, 89, of Sheffield, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2025, at Franklin Country View Nursing Facility in Hampton. Funeral services were held at Zion St. John Lutheran Church in Sheffield with burial in the St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery in rural Sheffield. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Sietsema-Atkinson Funeral Home in Hampton. 

Judy passed away peacefully on September 15, 2025 at her beloved cabin on Big Mantrap Lake in Park Rapids, MN.  Judy loved to spend time there with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her wonderful friends. While there, she shared her love of the lake and her passion for cards and games with all.  

Julie Ulerich, age 70, passed away August 14, 2025. She was born December 4, 1954 to Ewald G. and Doris R. (Nolte) Schmidt. Julie grew up in Hampton, IA and graduated from Hampton High School in the class of 1973. She attended Hamilton College in Mason City, IA where she learned her secretarial skills.

Jon Rieman, 48, of Hampton, passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at the University of Iowa Hospital. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at the Zion Reformed Church in rural Sheffield with burial in the Hillside Cemetery in Sheffield. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday at the Sietsema-Atkinson Funeral Home in Hampton.

Mary Margaret Harris Abbas, 84, of Geneva, passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2025 at Franklin General Hospital in Hampton. A private family service will take place with burial at St. Peter’s UCC Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Sietsema-Atkinson Funeral Home in Hampton.

Roger G. Nuehring, 80, of Hampton passed away Sunday, August 10, 2025 at Bartels Lutheran Home in Waverly. 

James “Jim” Gilbert Blood, Jr, 78, of Sheffield, passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota. Celebrating the life of Jim Blood will take place from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, Iowa. A private family burial will take place in the Hillside Cemetery in Sheffield.

Completing a full and well-lived life, Jan passed away in her apartment at Dawn & Gary’s house in Ames.  Under the watchful eye of a crack team of amateur family helpers, led by Moriah Harris, Jan received all the care anyone could hope for in this situation.  Jan was able to say many goodbyes and pray blessings over her grandkids.

Mary Lois Nelson, age 98 passed away on August 3, 2025 at Northridge Village in Ames, Iowa. A memorial will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Wednesday Augst 13, 2025 in the Chapel at Northridge Village; 3300 George Washington Carver, Ames.

Cody Michael Bertram passed away on July 27, 2025. He was born in Waverly, Iowa on August 2, 1991, and was a resident of Dumont, Iowa. His passing will leave an enormous void in our hearts, forever.

Eunice Brandt, 88, of Hampton, passed away Monday, July 21, 2025, at Westbrook Acres Nursing Home, in Gladbrook, Iowa. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 29, at Woodley Funeral Home, Hampton. Burial will be at the Dumont Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 hour before the service at the funeral home.

Funeral services for Richard Larsen, of Hampton, will be held 11:00 am, Thursday, August 7, at Immanuel United Church of Christ in Latimer. Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Wednesday at the Church. Family graveside services will be held at a later date at the Coulter Cemetery. Woodley Funeral Home, Hampton, is entrusted with arrangements for Richard.
