Carlene Wiarda (Nolte), 83, of Ackley, passed away on November 30, 2025, at Rehabilitation Center of Hampton. A celebration of life gathering will be held from 12:00 – 2:00p.m., December 8, 2025, at Woodley Funeral Home in Hampton. She will be laid to rest at the Dumont Cemetery at a later date.

Betty L. Butt, 96 of Hampton went home to Jesus on Friday, November 28th.  Betty went peacefully under hospice care at home. Funeral services will be at 10:30, December 6, at Hampton Church of Christ in Hampton. She will be laid to rest at the Harlan Cemetery following the service. A public visitation will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Friday December 5, at Woodley Funeral Home, in Hampton.

Donald Louis Warneke Sr., 88, of Ackley, passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Scenic Manor in Iowa Falls. Dallas Kothenbeutel, 79, of St. Charles, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at AccentCare Inpatient Hospice Center in Naperville, Illinois. A visitation will be held from 12:00 until 1:30 p.m. with a time of sharing at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, November 21, 2025, at the Sietsema-Atkinson Funeral Home in Hampton. Burial will follow at the Hampton Cemetery.

Leola (Schear) Johansen, 103, quietly passed away November 5, 2025 at the Franklin Country View Care Center in Hampton. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 10, at Woodley Funeral Home, Hampton. Burial will follow at Lindenwood Cemetery, Geneva. Visitation will be 1 hour before the service at Woodley Funeral Home.

Marvin Oleson, 89, of Latimer, passed away Friday, October 17, 2025, at the Rehabilitation Center of Hampton. Woodley Funeral Home and Crematory of Hampton is caring for Marvin and his family.  Lois F. Bittner, 85, a resident of Grand Haven Retirement Community in Eldridge, Iowa, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at the Clarissa Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, Iowa.

Doris Miller, 91, of Geneva, passed away on October 17, 2025, at Scenic Manor in Iowa Falls. Funeral services will be held at 1:00p.m., Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Woodley Funeral Home in Hampton. Jeanette Freie, 92, of Hampton and formerly of Latimer passed away Sunday October 5, 2025, at Franklin Country View in Hampton. Funeral Service will be 2pm Thursday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Latimer, Iowa with burial in the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery in Latimer, IA. Visitation will be Thursday from 1-2pm at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Latimer.

Joyce Arndt, 81, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away Friday, October 3, 2025, at Genesis Medical Center-East in Davenport following a brief illness.

Jack Zimmerman, 84, a longtime Sheffield resident and businessman, died on Friday, September 19, 2025, at the Sheffield Care Center.

Raarda (Smith) Stilwell, age 82, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Sept. 19, 2025 in Cedar Rapids.
Raarda was born on Oct. 18, 1942, in Cedar Falls, the daughter of Erwin L. Smith and Lida Viola (Haehlen) Smith. Raarda grew up in Cedar Falls and graduated from Cedar Falls High School. She attended Iowa State University before completing her degree in home economics education at Iowa State Teachers College.
