Norman Sparrow, 90, passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at the Southfield Wellness Community in Webster City. Funeral Services are pending with the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls. 

William "Bill" Koop, 101, of Ackley, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2022 at Grand JiVante in Ackley. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at the East Friesland Presbyterian Church in rural Ackley with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be an hour before the service. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Sietsema Funeral Home in Ackley.

1943-2022

On Michael Dunn’s last day, while fishing in Alaska, he caught a rainbow trout that was his

personal best. That evening on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 he passed away peacefully in his cabin after spending his final days enjoying the love and companionship of his two sons, Kevin and Patrick, and two grandsons, Patrick Jr. and George.

Diana Dee Huff Knauf, 67, of Boone, Iowa, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022, at her home in Boone, with her family by her side.

A visitation was held on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at Counsell Woodley Funeral Home in Hampton from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A service will be held at a later date in Boone. She will be laid to rest in the Hampton Cemetery at a later date.

Delores Bender, 91, of Hampton, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at Franklin Country View Nursing Facility in Hampton.

Richard “Rick” Dean Bender died at home on Wednesday, March 16, 2022. He was born in Hampton, Iowa, on April 30, 1953, to Robert and Delores Bender.

George Donald Anderson, 92, long time resident of Dows, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at the Rehabilitation Center of Hampton.
Funeral services for George Anderson will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 20, 2022 at Ewing Funeral Home, 114 East Ellsworth in Dows. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Dows.

Myrna L. Burmester, 90, of Marshalltown, Iowa and formerly of Hampton, Iowa, entered into eternal life on the evening of June 9, 2022 at the Iowa River Hospice Home in Marshalltown, surrounded by her loving family.

Pauline Pearl Juncker, 94, of Aredale, passed away Monday, June 6, 2022, at Franklin Country View Nursing Facility in Hampton. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, June 9, 2022, at Counsell Woodley Funeral Home in Hampton, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial took place in the Eldora Cemetery.
