Donald Jones, 93, of Webster City, formerly of Hampton, passed away April 14, 2022, at his home. Counsell Woodley Funeral Home and Monument Company, Hampton is providing services for Donald. Memorial services will be held 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 21, 2022, at Hampton United Methodist Church, 100 Central Ave E., Hampton, with Pastor Lewis Flanigan presiding. Interment with Veteran’s Honors will be at Hampton Cemetery.

Clint Freesemann, 59, of Hampton, passed away Monday, April 11, 2022, at his home. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The Counsell Woodley Funeral Home of Hampton is caring for Clint and his family.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 on Friday, April 22 at Zion Reformed Church rural Sheffield with burial in the Hampton Cemetery. Arlyn’s celebration of life will be held at Harriman’s Park shelter that afternoon to share memories and cheers.

Valta “Val” M. Hestness, 94, of Albert Lea, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.

Margaret May (Gade) Fuhrman, 101, of Iowa Falls, Iowa, passed away peacefully at her son’s home in Bonham, Texas on April 11, 2022, following a brief illness. The funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m., April 19, 2022 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Iowa Falls. The Rev. Paul Beisel will officiate. The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Northlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery.

John Joseph Baltes, age 96, of Hampton, Iowa, passed away April 8, 2022 at the Hampton Rehab Center. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, April 18th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Hampton, Iowa.     Thomas Joseph Crane, 83, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, formerly of Dows, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Cottage Grove Place, Cedar Rapids, of T-cell lymphoma, Sezary syndrome, and Parkinson’s disease. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 23 2022, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Hampton, Iowa. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. at the church. A luncheon will follow the mass.

Kenneth Ackerman, 86, of Ackley, passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at his home in Ackley. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 8, 2022 at the Washington Reformed Church with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at the Sietsema Funeral Home in Ackley.

Less than 6 months shy of her 100th birthday, Mary (Zeigler) Douglass died on March 18, 2022.
Born August 21, 1922 to Elmer and Minnie Zeigler, Mary was raised in Mason City, Iowa, never far from her identical twin Margaret. As truly twins, they had much fun switching classes and switching dates! When Margaret moved to Sioux Falls, SD, they typed letters to each other every week until Margaret passed away at the age of 80.

Patty Jo Woodley, 88, passed away Thursday, March 31 at Allison Health Care Center.  Patty was born July 13, 1933 to Paul and Eileen Burroughs.   On July 3, 1951 she was united in marriage to Warren Woodley at Hampton Methodist church.   
 

Thelma Peterson, 74, of Topeka, Kansas and formerly of Charles City, passed away on Thursday, March 31 in Topeka, Kansas. Funeral services are pending with the Sietsema Funeral Home in Ackley. 

Verle Beckman, 94, passed away on March 30, 2022 at Scenic Manor, Iowa Falls. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Iowa Falls with burial in the Dayton Cemetery. Don Clay was born June 18, 1927, in Franklin County, Iowa to Doris (Shroyer) and Lawrence Clay. He passed away at Cedar Ridge Village Care Facility in West Des Moines on Tuesday, March 22nd, 2022, just a few months shy of 95. 

Ruth Ann Pendergast-Hansen, age 84, passed away on January 20, 2022, at home in Summerville, SC. Ruth Ann was born in Hampton, Iowa on January 3, 1938, to Elvira and John Clark Patton. She married her first husband Charles V. Pendergast, who joined the Army and then Air Force. They had three children together Arlyn Todd, Belinda Sue and Craig Steven.
