Five Warhawks Make Top of Iowa East All-Conference Teams

The 2025 all-conference baseball teams for the Top of Iowa East conference have been announced. Thirty-three total players made up the first team, second team and honorable mentions team, with five West Fork Warhawks being selected. Senior Nolan Shreckengost was selected to the first team.

Mahler, Wikert and Moats make NCC All-Conference Team

The 2025 all-conference baseball teams for the North Central Conference have been announced. Thirty-five total players made up the first, second and third teams, with three Hampton-Dumont-CAL Bulldogs being selected. Senior Taylor Mahler and senior Dawson Wikert were the two Bulldogs that made second team all-conference while senior Jaxon Moats made third team all-conference. 

Rother Hits Clutch Home Run to Send Warhawks to State

West Fork softball is heading back to the state tournament for the second season in a row after having never made it in school history before that. The Warhawks moved onto state after defeating the Central Springs Panthers 3-2 in a thrilling extra-inning affair. The game ended in the bottom of the eighth when sophomore first baseman Brooke Rother smashed a game-winning walk-off home run over the left-center field fence.

Meet the Rockhounds, a Local Travel Baseball Team

The Rockhounds are an 8U travel baseball team based here in Hampton that is run by team manager Dave Nielson. Nielsen started building the team last fall and they have just begun playing competitive travel baseball this year.

Hampton Basketball Reunion Celebrates Past Bulldogs Players and Coaches

Players and coaches from the 1979-1985 Hampton basketball teams were celebrated at the Hampton basketball reunion at Maynes Grove on Saturday, July 19. The event revolves around the teams that were coached by Dave Hanneman, as these were some of the most successful seasons in the history of Hampton basketball.

Warhawk Softball Makes it to Regional Final

The West Fork Warhawks softball team is in the IHSAA class 2A region 8 finals, after defeating the Alta-Aurelia Warriors 8-0 in the quarterfinals on Wednesday, July 9 and the East Sac County Raiders 8-0 in the semi finals on Saturday, July 12. 
 

Warhawk Baseball Season Ends After Loss in Substate Semifinals

The 2025 season for the West Fork Warhawks baseball team has come to an end. The Warhawks lost to the Wapsie Valley Warriors 8-0 Saturday, July 12 in the IHSAA 2A Substate 2 semifinals. The Warhawks defeated the West Hancock Eagles 8-3 in the first round on Monday, July 7 and the St. Edmond Gales 11-8 in the quarterfinals on Tuesday, July 8 before the loss to Waspie Valley. 
 

Bulldog Softball Season Ends With Loss to Center Point-Urbana

The Hampton-Dumont-CAL (HDCAL) softball team lost in the first round of the IHSAA Class 3A region 5 tournament 16-4 to the Center-Point-Urbana Stormin Pointers on Thursday, July 10. The loss eliminates the Bulldogs from the playoffs and they finished with a record of 6-17 for the season and 5-9 in conference play. 
 

Bulldog Baseball Drops First Round of Substate Playoffs to Boone

Hampton-Dumont-CAL’s (HDCAL) baseball season came to an end with a 5-1 loss in the IHSAA 3A substrate 3 first round to the Boone Toreadors on Friday, July 11. The Bulldogs finished the season with a 7-12 record overall and 5-9 in conference play. 
 

West Fork Softball Has Another Undefeated Week

West Fork softball continued their successful season winning all four games they competed in last week. The Warhawks began the week with a 11-0 victory over the Hampton-Dumont-CAL Bulldogs on Tuesday, June 24 and a 9-1 victory over the Saint Ansgar Saints on Friday, June 27.

West From Baseball Goes 1-3, Beats 9th Ranked Newman Catholic Last Week

The West Fork Warhawks baseball team went 1-3 in a week full of competitive games versus tough opponents. The Warhawks lost their first two games of the week, 7-5 versus the Newman Catholic Knights on Monday, June 23 and 7-5 versus the Hampton-Dumont-CAL Bulldogs on Tuesday, June 24. On Wednesday, June 25 the Warhawks finished the second game of the doubleheader versus Neman Catholic from Monday that was suspended due to weather.

Hampton Baseball Drops Three Games Last week

Hampton-Dumont-CAL (HDCAL) softball lost all of the three games they competed in last week. The Bulldogs lost 10-0 to the St. Edmond Gales on Monday, June 23, 11-0 to the West Fork Warhawks on Tuesday, June 24 and 6-5 to the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Cowgirls 6-5 on Friday, June 27. The Bulldogs were supposed to play Iowa Falls-Alden on Wednesday and Algona on Thursday but both games were postponed due to weather. 
 

Bulldog Baseball Has Undefeated Week

Hampton-Dumont-CAL has continued to play good baseball since starting the season 0-8. Last week, the Bulldogs went 3-0 overall, winning all of its games of the week. The Bulldogs won both games of a doubleheader versus the St. Edmond Gales on Monday, June 23, winning game one 8-5 and game two 8-1. The Bulldogs then defeated the West Fork Warhawks 7-5 on Tuesday, June 24.

Warhawk Softball Goes 1-2 in Last Week's Contests

The West Fork softball team went 1-2 during last week's games, as they are in the middle of a tough part of their schedule. The game scheduled on Monday, June 16 versus Nashua-Plainfield was rained out. The Warhawks dropped the first two games, first to the Riceville Wildcats 4-2 on Tuesday, June 17 then to the Newman Catholic Knights 6-5 on Thursday, June 19.

Warhawk Baseball Continues Winning Streak

The West Fork baseball team won both games they played last week and has extended their winning streak to four games. The offense has been the main reason for the hot streak as the Warhawks have scored double digit runs in all four of those games. The Warhawks were supposed to play in five games over the week, but three of the games were either canceled or suspended due to rain.
