Durwood “Dur” Thomas, 82, of Liberty, MO, formerly of Hampton, passed away January 26, 2020. A graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at the Hampton Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Sietsema-Atkinson Funeral Home in Hampton.

Greg Giddings, 68, of Hampton, Iowa, passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021, at his home in Hampton.
 
Gregory Allen Giddings was born on July 17, 1953, in Fort Dodge, to Robert and Jacque (Ford) Giddings.  He graduated from Hampton High School.
 
Greg was united in marriage to Pam Hannah on April 20, 1974, in Hampton; to this union two sons were born, Matt and Brandon.
 

Jerry Dean Clark, 81 of Browning, Missouri passed away Monday, August 30, 2021, at his home in Browning, Missouri. Funeral Services for Jerry Clark are 12:00 pm Saturday, September 18, 2021 with graveside service to follow. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. The Linn’s Funeral Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.

Funeral services for Mavis Ann Meyer, 73, of Mason City (formerly of rural Latimer) will be 10:30 AM, Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Zion Reformed Church in rural Sheffield with Rev. Petri VanRooyen officiating.  Visitation will be at the Zion Reformed Church, in rural Sheffield, on Friday, August 27, 2021 from 4-6 p.m.  Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in Sheffield.

Ronald Dean Ryan, 72 of Des Moines passed away on April 15, 2020. Ron was born March 6, 1948 to Ardith and Glenn Ryan. He graduated from Hampton High School in 1966. Ron was a Marine from 1968-1972 and served in the Vietnam War.

Gene Walker, 79, of Hampton, Iowa, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021, at his home in Hampton.
He was born Eugene Ellis Walker, also known as "Bus," on December 11, 1941, in Waterloo, to Guy and Esther (Anway) Walker. Gene graduated from Hampton High School.
Gene was united in marriage to Hilda Terrill on August 11, 1961, in Hampton. To this union one son, Scott was born.

Bill Lee Hand, 89, of Hampton, Iowa, went to the Field of Dreams, on Monday, August 23, 2021, with his loving family by his side.

Jared Meinders, 37, passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at the Liberty Hospital in Liberty, Missouri. Burial and Private (Family) services will be held at the Dumont Cemetery. A celebration of Jared’s life will be held at the Dumont City Park on Saturday, August 28 from 1 – 4 p.m.   Anyone wishing to stop by is invited. In lieu of flowers, a fund has been set up for Jared’s children.

Lloyd Tagesen, 86, of Clear Lake, formerly of Hampton, passed away August 22, 2021, at MercyOne North Iowa in Mason City. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. on Friday, August 27, 2021, at the Sietsema-Atkinson Funeral Home in Hampton with burial in the Alexander Cemetery. Family will receive friends starting at 12:00 P.M before services. The family encourages masks be worn at the service.

Duane Lloyd, 89, of Iowa Falls, passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. A funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at the First United Methodist Church in Iowa Falls with burial in the Union Cemetery. Lale Burmester, 66, a lifelong resident of Hampton, passed away Thursday, August 19, 2021, at Franklin General Hospital in Hampton.

     Graveside services for Delores Main Slagle, 93, of Sheffield will be held 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at Harlington Cemetery, Waverly, with Pastor Sandy Gobeli of First United Methodist Church, Sheffield presiding. Donald L. Kothenbeutel, 79, of Garner passed away peacefully Sunday, August 15, 2021 at Concord Care Center in Garner.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 20, 2021 at the Garner Evangelical Free Church with Rev. Terry Baxter officiating.
