Jeffrey Johnson, 61, of Hampton, passed away on September 5th, 2021 at Mercy One Hospice in Johnston. Cremation was done by the Merle Hay Funeral Home. Margaret Jeanette Myers, 81, died suddenly at her home in Sun City West, Arizona on January 31, 2021.  A celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Reformed Church of Alexander.

Wayne Robert Schmitt, 98, of Mason City passed away Saturday, September 18, 2021, at the Good Shepherd Health Center in Mason City after a few months of declining health.

Sally Jo Roode, 70, of Hampton, Iowa, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021, at her home.
Sally was born on June 23, 1951 in Clinton, Iowa, to parents Henry and Margaret (Ingledue) Dihlmann. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1969. Sally had a number of jobs over the years, working at real estate offices and in the school cafeteria.

Halvor M. Egede, 87, of Hampton, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, 14 September 2021, at the Rehabilitation Center of Hampton.

Donald Ivan Ahlas, 87, of Chapin, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at his home in Chapin.
He was born in Indiana, Pennsylvania, on June 27, 1934; son of Charles Gilbert Ahlas and Addie Sara (Berringer) Ahlas. Donald moved with his parents when he was 3 years old to Niagara Falls, New York. He attended Pacific Avenue elementary school, LaSalle High School, and the University of Buffalo.

Laurence Hansen, 93, of Iowa Falls, passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Ashbrook Assisted Living in Iowa Falls. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Iowa Falls with burial in Union Cemetery. Visitation will be an hour before the service. There will be a Celebration of Life immediately afterwards at the Highland Golf Club, also in Iowa Falls.

Richard Ray Bodecker lost his battle with ALS on Sunday, September 12, 2021, at the age of 68. Richard passed away at his home in Alexander, IA, surrounded by his loved ones. 

Sandra Kay Duncan, 62 of Iowa Falls, Iowa passed away Friday, September 10, 2021, at her home in Iowa Falls, Iowa. Funeral Services for Sandra Duncan will be, 11:00 am Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at Linn’s Funeral Home with graveside service to follow. Visitation will be 9:00 to 11:00 am prior to services. Delmar Dean Mollenbeck, 87, of Hampton, passed away Wednesday, September 8th, at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center following a brief illness.

Durwood “Dur” Thomas, 82, of Liberty, MO, formerly of Hampton, passed away January 26, 2020. A graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at the Hampton Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Sietsema-Atkinson Funeral Home in Hampton.

Greg Giddings, 68, of Hampton, Iowa, passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021, at his home in Hampton.
 
Gregory Allen Giddings was born on July 17, 1953, in Fort Dodge, to Robert and Jacque (Ford) Giddings.  He graduated from Hampton High School.
 
Greg was united in marriage to Pam Hannah on April 20, 1974, in Hampton; to this union two sons were born, Matt and Brandon.
