Joe Jass, 61, of Alden, passed away at his home on Friday, September 24, 202. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at the United Methodist Church in Alden. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls. 

Norma Jean Hill, 89, formerly of Dows, passed away on Monday, September 20, 2021. 
Private family services will be held.  A recording will be posted on Norma’s obituary on the Ewing Funeral Home website following the funeral service.
A public celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Joseph “Joe” Patrick Roth, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2021 at his home at Lakeside Village, Panora, Iowa at the age of 85 of natural causes.  He was born on September 4, 1936 in Audubon, Iowa to John & Ida (Winters) Roth.  Family and friends loved his stories of growing up in this small town with his dog Chub, cars that used as much oil as gasoline, town baseball games, and town rivalries.

Keith “Craig” Chaplin, 69, of Iowa Falls, Iowa passed away Friday, September 17, 2021, at North Iowa Mercy One in Mason City. Jeffrey Johnson, 61, of Hampton, passed away on September 5th, 2021 at Mercy One Hospice in Johnston. Cremation was done by the Merle Hay Funeral Home. Margaret Jeanette Myers, 81, died suddenly at her home in Sun City West, Arizona on January 31, 2021.  A celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Reformed Church of Alexander.

Wayne Robert Schmitt, 98, of Mason City passed away Saturday, September 18, 2021, at the Good Shepherd Health Center in Mason City after a few months of declining health.

Sally Jo Roode, 70, of Hampton, Iowa, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021, at her home.
Sally was born on June 23, 1951 in Clinton, Iowa, to parents Henry and Margaret (Ingledue) Dihlmann. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1969. Sally had a number of jobs over the years, working at real estate offices and in the school cafeteria.

Halvor M. Egede, 87, of Hampton, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, 14 September 2021, at the Rehabilitation Center of Hampton.

Donald Ivan Ahlas, 87, of Chapin, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at his home in Chapin.
He was born in Indiana, Pennsylvania, on June 27, 1934; son of Charles Gilbert Ahlas and Addie Sara (Berringer) Ahlas. Donald moved with his parents when he was 3 years old to Niagara Falls, New York. He attended Pacific Avenue elementary school, LaSalle High School, and the University of Buffalo.

Laurence Hansen, 93, of Iowa Falls, passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Ashbrook Assisted Living in Iowa Falls. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Iowa Falls with burial in Union Cemetery. Visitation will be an hour before the service. There will be a Celebration of Life immediately afterwards at the Highland Golf Club, also in Iowa Falls.

Richard Ray Bodecker lost his battle with ALS on Sunday, September 12, 2021, at the age of 68. Richard passed away at his home in Alexander, IA, surrounded by his loved ones.
