Charles William Kruse, 91

Charles William Kruse, 91, of Allison, IA passed away on Friday June 11, 2021, at Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community in Waverly, IA of natural causes. Charles was born on January 15, 1930 on the farm, address, Bristow, IA, the son of Carl F. and Minnie (Dralle) Kruse. He graduated from eighth grade from Brushy Mound Country School, West Point No. 6 and then from Allison Community High School in 1948.

Linda Laipple-Somers

Linda Somers passed away on June 13, 2021, at Brookdale Senior Living Facility, in Niceville, Florida. Lida was born on June 3, 1944, to John Laipple and Margaret Foughty Laipple in Hampton, Iowa. She graduated from Hampton High School in 1962, and later from Allen Nursing School in 1965 to become an RN. Blessed with a beautiful Lyric Soprano voice she participated in many high school and community musical productions.

Mary Jo Rindels, 86, of Bristow, passed away on Friday, June 11, 2021 at the Franklin General Hospital. Visitation will be on Friday, June 18, 2021 at the Sietsema-Atkinson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Saturday June 19, 2021 at the Sietsema-Atkinson Funeral Home in Hampton with burial to follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Bristow.

Jerry Martin Schutt, 68, passed away from Alzheimer’s disease at Kavanagh House – Every Step on June 1, 2021.  Arrangements are being made by McLarens Resthaven Chapel & Mortuary in West Des Moines.  Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:30 AM on June 11th at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in West Des Moines. Funeral services and a luncheon will follow.

Karen Ruth Lehman, 76, passed away June 2, 2021 at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines, IA.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 7, 2021 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ankeny, IA (1100 SE Sharon Dr.). A second funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Latimer, IA (304 W Main St.) with burial immediately following at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery.

Memorial service for Robert James "Jim" Nemmers, Jr, 65, of Sedalia, Colorado, who passed away Thursday, December 3, 2020, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 12, 2021, at Sietsema Vogel Funeral Home in Dumont, with burial to follow in the Dumont Cemetery.  Visitation will be held prior to the service at the funeral home starting at 9:30 a.m.

A graveside service for Paul A. Neubauer will be held 10:00 am Monday June 7, 2021 at Union Cemetery in Iowa Falls. Duane Swanson, 67, of Hampton, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Franklin General Hospital in Hampton.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Dows City Park with Pastor Laurel Meester officiating.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at Dows City Park on Saturday, June 12, 2021.

Wayne Smith, 50, of Fort Dodge and formerly of Iowa Falls, passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2021. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Hazel Green Cemetery in rural Ackley. Adell Irene Eustice, a retired Franklin County assessor, superb pie baker and a crossword puzzler to the end of her 94 years, died Tuesday, May 25, in the Franklin Country View Nursing Home in Hampton.
Adell was the last Eustice, a family that had lived in Franklin County for more than a century.

Bonnie Smit, age 94, of  Burnsville, Minnesota, formerly of Steamboat Rock, passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at Brookview Cottage in Burnsville. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at the Steamboat Rock Baptist Church with burial in Union Cemetery in Iowa Falls. Visitation will be an hour before the service. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Surls Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Iowa Falls.

Burial and Celebration of Life for Roger Honold will be held Saturday June 19, 2021 at 1:00 in the Coulter Cemetery. This will be followed by a gathering at the Latimer Community Center from 2-4 p,. All friends and family are welcome. Nancy, Carol, David and Dixie Honold.

Marjory Ann (Pralle) Koenen, 88

Marjory Ann (Pralle) Koenen, 88, of Latimer, Iowa, went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 18, 2021, at Franklin Country View Nursing Facility, Hampton, Iowa. Marj was born on March 31, 1933, to William C. and Emily (Mehlberg) Pralle. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
