With the season about to start for the West Fork Warhawks girls cross country team, head coach Laura Huber said that the team will have seven runners on the varsity squad which will allow them to score as a team.
Heading into the upcoming season Hampton-Dumont-CAL Bulldogs volleyball head coach Sarah Miller said that one thing the team is looking for this year is to be more consistent especially on offense. Last year the Bulldogs went 11-23 and the Bulldogs had their first game on Aug. 20. at Belmond-Klemme.
For the first time during the summer the West Fork Warhawks boys cross country ran together in a summer program. Head coach Zachary Ortloff said that they usually give the runners a program to follow during the summer but it was nice to have a voluntary program like this.
The West Fork Warhawks saw a big improvement from a 5-17 record in 2023 to a 12-14 record this year which saw the Warhawks make it to the Class 1A Substate 3 Semifinal. Head coach Kayden Ames said he was very pleased with how the season went.
The West Fork Warhawks softball team made history on July 15, as the team defeated Hudson 3-0 in the Class 2A Region 6 Championship game to advance to the Class 2A State Quarterfinal. The Warhawks played Van Meter in the Quarterfinal on July 23.
The season may be over for the Hampton-Dumont-CAL Bulldogs softball team as they ended the year with a record of 7-17, and head coach Kelsey Enslin said that the team had some high notes and low notes.
