With the first half of the season over and the team coming back from the winter break, The Hampton-Dumont-CAL Bulldogs boys wrestling team is ready to get back to competition. Head coach Patrick Hansen said that while some things did not go their way that the first half of the season was good for the Bulldogs.
The first half of the season might not have gone the way the Hampton-Dumont-CAL Bulldogs boys basketball team would have like record wise as the Bulldogs entered the winter break with a record of 1-5.
With the first half of the season out of the way, the West Fork Warhawks girls wrestling team is getting ready for the second half. The team starts up competition again on the road on Jan. 7. at Nevada at 6 p.m.
With multiple meets under their belt,the Hampton-Dumont-CAL Bulldogs girls wrestling team is set to start the second half of the season. The team’s next meet is on Jan. 7. at Aplington-Parkersburg at 6 p.m.
Things have been going pretty well so far this season for the Hampton-Dumont-CAL Bulldogs girls basketball team. The Bulldogs are ranked No. 13 and are 8-0 on the year. The Bulldogs defeated the No. 12. The St. Ansgar Saints 43-33 in their last game before the winter break on Dec. 21.
The Hampton-Dumont-CAL Bulldogs boys wrestling team had two meets this past week. The team fell to Lake Mills 42-28 in the team’s first meet of the year on Dec. 3. In that match, Jacob Mahler won in the 132-lbs weight class, Charlie Showalter won in the 138-lbs weight class, and Colin Bird won in the 165-lbs weight class.
Last year was a strong season for the West Fork Warhawks boys basketball team, which saw the team make it all the way to the Class 1A Substate 3 championship game before ending the season in the Substate championship game with a record of 20-5. The Warhawks are getting ready for the upcoming season.
The Hampton-Dumont-CAL Bulldogs girls wrestling team is preparing for the upcoming season. Head coach Brittany Stevens said that the Bulldogs are focusing on building the team from the ground up this year.
