Susan Jane (Roush) Pitts, 94, of Hampton, Iowa passed away, January 27, 2021, at Franklin Country View Nursing Facility in Hampton, Iowa. She was born on March 15, 1926, to Virgil Thompson Roush and Mary Etta (Ross) Roush in rural Highland County, Ohio. Jane attended one-room school in Boston, Ohio through 8th grade. She graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1944.

Barbara Frances Brockway (Clemens) passed away from a fall, which led to a cerrebreal hemorrhage, on August 29, 2020, at the age of 87 at her home in Medina Ohio She was born on January 31, 1933 at her Grandmother’s home in Dumont, Iowa, to the late Forrest and Ruth (Hutchinson) Clemens. She lived in Cedar Rapids to age of 12 when she moved to Ohio when her father started to work in Cleveland.

James Burmester, 68, of Dumont, passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Mercy Medical Center in Mason City. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 25, 2021 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hampton with a come and go luncheon to follow at Maynes Grove Lodge from 12-3 p.m. Visitation was from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, January 24 at the Sietsema-Atkinson Funeral Home in Hampton. Masks and social distancing will be required.

Raymond J. Murray, 78, of Hampton, Iowa, passed away Saturday, January 23, 2021, at his home in Hampton.  He was born on March 14, 1942, in Charles City, Iowa, to John and Mary (Joerger) Murray.
Ray graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in Charles City and attended NIACC.  He married the love of his life, Trisha Henke, on September 12, 1964, in Charles City.  They had 4 energetic boys whom Ray loved very deeply.

Clifford Stewart Huff, 85, of Hampton, Iowa, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2021, at the Rehabilitation Center of Hampton.
Services will be held at a later date. The Sietsema Vogel Funeral Home of Hampton is assisting Clifford’s family.

Salina Enslin, 92, of Ackley, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Franklin General Hospital in Hampton. Funeral services were held at 10:30 AM Saturday, January 9, 2021 at the St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, rural Geneva. She was laid to rest at the St. Peter’s Cemetery. Woodley Funeral Home, LLC of Iowa Falls is caring for Salina and her family.
 

Delbert Duane Schroeder passed away peacefully on January 19, 2021 at Madrid Home Communities Nursing Home (hospice care), Madrid, Iowa. Prior to his move to Madrid last year Del lived in Sheffield, Iowa for the past 10 years. 
 

Marilyn M. Bents, 73, of Hampton, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021, at Franklin General Hospital in Hampton.  She was born January 6, 1948, in Hampton, to Edmund and Arlene (Waddell) Meyer.

TOPEKA, KS – Catherine M. Bertelson (Photiades), age 87, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on January 13, 2021 and joined her family in Paradise.  Catherine died after a long battle with Corticobasal degeneration, in her home with family by her side. 
 

George E. Schuler, 87 of Dows passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota.
Funeral services for George Schuler will be held Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Morgan Bradford United Methodist Church, 569 100th Street in Dows with Reverend Erling Shultz officiating.  Burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Dows.

Gloria Mae Westaby, 93, of Alexander, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2021, at The Madrid Home, surrounded by her family.  She was born on December 2, 1927, in Hardy, Iowa, to Peter and Josephine (Michaelson) Helvick.
Gloria graduated from Humboldt High School and from Waldorf College in Forest City.  She was united in marriage to Marlo Westaby on July 28, 1948, in Humboldt; to this union six children were born. 

Brandi Jane Pals, 20, of Clear Lake, Iowa, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2021, at Mayo Clinic Hospital, St. Mary’s Campus in Rochester, Minnesota.  She was born on August 31, 2000, in Mason City, Iowa, to Thomas Pals and Shelly (Jordahl) Wander.

Dale Earl Greimann, 66, of Pawleys Island, South Carolina, passed away in his home on December 28, 2020 after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

Keith Craighton, 98, of Hampton, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at Franklin General Hospital in Hampton.  He was born on February 26, 1922, in Geneva, to Cecil E. and Emma Marie (Wilkinson) Craighton.

Jack Allan Wilson, 64, of Geneva, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at his home in Geneva.  He was born on July 12, 1956, in Cedar Rapids to Harold Ray and Patricia Ann (Farmer) Wilson.  Jack graduated from Prairie High School in Cedar Rapids.
