Merlin D. Plagge, 91, of Deerfield Assisted Living, Sheffield, passed away on February 14, 2021, in Sheffield, Iowa. Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M.

Orville E. Van Raden, 81, of Hampton, Iowa, passed away February 14 at his home in Hampton surrounded by his family after a short battle of pancreatic cancer which he fought with dignity and grace.
He was born October 29, 1939 in Aredale, Iowa to Ernest and Mattie (Timmer) Van Raden.

Vivolyn Joan Butler, 85 of Norwalk and formally of Geneva, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, at UnityPoint Health Iowa Methodist in Des Moines, Iowa. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 pm at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ 496 Raven Avenue, Geneva, Iowa 50633 Saturday February 20, 2021 visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church. Linn’s Funeral Home Iowa Falls Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.

Judith Ann Swartz, 85 of Iowa Falls, Iowa passed away peacefully on Monday, February 8, 2021. at Heritage Care Center in Iowa Falls, Iowa, after her battle with cancer. The family is holding a visitation on Saturday February 13, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at Linn’s Funeral Home Chapel 1521 Washington Ave, Iowa Falls, Iowa with a Scripture Service and Rosary at 2:00 p.m.

Kenneth Albert Keehn, 93, of Latimer, Iowa, passed away peacefully Sunday, February 7, 2021, at Franklin Country View Nursing Facility in Hampton with family by his side. 

Duane Swanson, 67, of Hampton, passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at the Hampton Hospital Hospice Center. 
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. 

Jerry Williams, 78, of Iowa Falls, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2021 at his home, under the care of Care Initiatives Hospice. Memorial mass will be 10:30 AM Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the St. Mark Catholic Church in Iowa Falls. A private family burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until service time on Saturday at the church.

Orlan E. Shaw, 80, of rural Spring Valley, MN, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2021, at his home. He was born in Franklin County, IA, to Joseph and Sadie (Hefte) Shaw on May 11, 1940. Orlan married his bride of 62 years, Carol (Augustus) Shaw on February 21, 1958, in Belmond, Iowa. The couple lived on various farms in Iowa and Minnesota, before settling in rural Spring Valley in 1976. 

Lynn Kenneth Reinke, 78, of Geneva, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2021, at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City.  He was born November 2, 1942, in Hampton, to Kenneth and Leola (Yenter) Reinke.

Nedra Pauline “Polly” Harper passed away on January 31, 2021 at her home in Coolidge, Arizona. 
 

The world lost a compassionate gentleman, Gilbert R. Muhlenbruch, age 88, who died peacefully at home on Thursday, January 28, 2021 in Grapevine, Texas.  Gil and his wife Frances had just relocated near family in Grapevine after spending over 60 years in Wappingers Falls, NY.

Donna Symens, 83, of Sheffield, IA was born August 22, 1937. She was a twin daughter of Jesse and Esther (Pals) Suntken. She received her education in Pleasant Township country school and graduated in 1955 from Belmond High School. After high school, she worked at P&G Grocery in Belmond.
