Helen Brandt, 90, of Hampton, Iowa, passed away Monday, February 28, 2022, at Franklin General Hospital in Hampton.  
She was born on August 4, 1931, in Hampton, to Hilko and Lena (Meyers) Boelkes.  Helen attended school in Hansell. 

William (Bill) Owen Foss, 67, passed away on February 22, 2022, at Accura Health Care in Pleasantville, Iowa. Bill Foss was born in Belmond, Iowa, on May 3, 1954, to Norman and Helen Foss and grew up in Latimer, Iowa, where he graduated from CAL Community High School. He was a member of the CAL band, participated in drama, and enjoyed golfing at the Latimer Golf Club.

Julie Ann Anderson passed away February 15, 2022 at 6:50 pm. at St. John’s Hospital in Maplewood, Minnesota from SARS-CoV-2 complications. Julie was 62 years old. Family gathered to love and support Julie through live streaming means and in-person visits at her passing. Karen Heitland, 79, of Iowa Falls, passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022 at Scenic Manor in Iowa Falls. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 22 at the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls with burial in Union Cemetery. Visitation will be an hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be given to the William R Bliss Cancer Center in Ames. 

Brandon Stotser, 35, of Alden, passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at his home in Alden. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. on Friday, February 25, 2022 at the Iowa Falls armory with Pastor Steve Hill officiating. Visitation will be an hour before the service. Carl Heeren, 91, of Hansell, passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Franklin General Hospital in Hampton. He was born on November 30, 1930, in Butler County, Iowa, to George and Ida (Plummer) Heeren.

Beverly Peterson, 89, of Alden, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2022 at Scenic Manor in Iowa Falls. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at the Alden United Methodist Church with burial in the Alden Cemetery. Visitation will be an hour before the service. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls. 

Marlys Jean Meyer, 79, died Friday, February 11, 2022, at her home in Hampton, Iowa.  The immediate family will celebrate her life, and she will be laid to rest beside her husband in Lindenwood Cemetery, rural Geneva. 

Marcus Lamoreux, 96, of Marshalltown formally of Eldora, Iowa passed away Sunday, February 13, 2022, at Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Memorial service will be at a later date. Gordon Brocka, 81, of Aredale, Iowa, passed away Monday, January 31, 2022, at John C. Lincoln Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
Gordon Harry Brocka was born on February 5, 1940, in rural Allison, to Harry and Engelena (Wessels) Brocka. He graduated from Hansell High School. Gordon met Marietta Emhoff in high school and they were married on July 19, 1958, in Aredale.

Waltraut "Wally" Tonjes, 91, of Tipton, Iowa, formerly of Hampton, passed away Monday, February 7, 2022, at UnityPoint Health - St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. A public visitation took place from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 11 at the Fry Funeral Home in Tipton. Funeral services were held immediately following the visitation.

Brenda Kay Oleson, 63, of Latimer, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at her home. Funeral services were held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, January 29, at the Immanuel United Church of Christ in Latimer. Visitation was held one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Burial took place at the Marion Center Cemetery, rural Latimer.

Barbara Murra, 86, of Ackley, passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at her home in Ackley. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. on Monday, February 14, at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Ackley with burial in the Pleasant Hill Grant Township Cemetery.
