Delina Etnier, 80, of Sheffield, passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at the Rockwell Community Nursing Home. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at the Hampton Church of Christ with burial in the Hillside Cemetery in Sheffield. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Monday at the Sietsema-Atkinson Funeral Home in Hampton.

Steven Gregory Borcherding, 64, of rural Latimer, died peacefully at his home early Friday morning, June 23, 2023.
 
Steven was born October 26, 1958, to Donald H. and Genevieve (Pandil) Borcherding of Latimer.
 
Steve graduated from CAL in 1977. He was active in FFA, and enjoyed trapping, hunting and fishing.
 

Wanda Joan Alexander of Roseville, Minnesota, passed away on July 20, 2023.  A funeral service was held on August 2 at Grace University Lutheran Church in Minneapolis.  Wanda will be buried at her parents’ grave site in Hampton at a private family service.

Annamae Diemer, 97, of Ackley, passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at Grand JiVante in Ackley. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at Cornerstone Presbyterian Church in Ackley with burial in West Friesland Cemetery. Visitation will be an hour before the service. Memorials may be directed to Care Initiatives Hospice, Hansen Family Hospital or Grand JiVante.

Althea Uhlenhopp, 90, of Hansell and formerly of Greene, passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at the Franklin General Hospital in Hampton. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 31, 2023 at the St. John’s Lutheran Church- Vilmar in rural Greene with burial in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Greene. Visitation will be an hour before the service.

Linda Rae Carpenter, 69, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away on July 14, 2023.
Linda was born on February 1, 1954, in Hampton, Iowa, to Henry and Mildred Peters.
In her professional life, Linda worked at Iowa Methodist and Iowa Lutheran Hospitals, until her retirement.
Outside of work, Linda enjoyed traveling, NASCAR races, and collecting cow memorabilia.

Alice Zander (Thorson) Evans, 100, of Williams, Iowa passed away July 23, 2023, at Rehabilitation Center of Hampton, Iowa. A funeral service for Alice Evans will be 10:30 am, Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Linn’s Funeral Home 1521 Washington Avenue, Iowa Falls, Iowa. Burial will be at the Coulter Cemetery, Coulter, Iowa. Jerry Lee Richards was born October 5, 1939 in Oskaloosa, Iowa to Neva and Don Richards. He was married to Susan J. Seddon on January 17, 1960 until her passing in 1997. He served in the Navy aboard the USS Lansing.

Diane Loux, 75, of Sheffield, passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 17, 2023 at the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls with burial in Union Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday at the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls. 

Betty Jean (Fuller) Taylor, 90, of Iowa Falls passed away Sunday, July 16, 2023, at Scenic Manor Nursing Home in Iowa Falls.
