Tyler Stewart, a Hampton native and 2010 graduate, recently earned Warren E. Shull Middle School Adviser of the Year for his role as the student council adviser at Berg Middle School in Newton Iowa.

The day before Thanksgiving nearly five or six years ago, Jojo, now 10 years old, jumped off the Weiland’s bed in their Hampton home and let out a yelp. By noon the next day, Jojo could move, but her hind legs dragged behind her.

The individual is an elderly adult, 81 years or older, is self-isolating at home. No further information regarding the individual has been released.
The first case was confirmed on Sunday, April 5, with the second case confirmed on Friday, April 24.

Franklin County Public Health on Friday afternoon issued a release stating Public Health and the Iowa Department of Public Health identified one additional case in the county. The individual is self-isolating at home. No further information regarding the individual has been released.
