Jerald (Jerry) Albert Leininger was born March 8, 1956 to Marvin and Doris Leininger in Estherville, Iowa. Jerry departed this life the morning of Sunday, November 29, 2020 near Deer River, MN at the age of 64. Jerry was raised in Dolliver, Iowa and attended Lincoln Central High School. After high school, Jerry joined the Armed Services where he was stationed in Frankfurt, Germany.

Thomas E. Berry, 73, of Hampton, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at the MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City.  Tom was born July 26, 1947, in Mason City, Iowa, to Joseph E. and Mildred (Van Every) Berry.

Kathryn Mae Andersen, 71, of Hampton, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020, at her home in Hampton.  She was born September 19, 1949, in Iowa Falls, to Vernon and Iva (Brown) Jacobson.

Billy Eugene Miller, 80

Billy Eugene Miller, 80, of Hampton, passed away Saturday, Dec. 5, 2020, at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City.

Bill was born to Fred and Fannie (Wildeboer) Miller on March 2, 1940, in Hampton. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church of Hampton. Bill attended Hampton Consolidated School and graduated in 1958.

Barbara Mae Sidmore, 91

Barbara Mae Sidmore, 91, of Dumont, Iowa, passed away Thursday, Dec. 3, 2020, at Franklin General Hospital in Hampton.

Private family services will be held. Burial will take place in the Dumont Cemetery.

The Sietsema Vogel Funeral Home of Dumont is assisting Barbara's family.

Bazetta Jane (Reints) Kew, 80

Bazetta Jane (Reints) Kew, 80, of Sheffield, passed away Thursday, Nov. 26, 2020, at the Sheffield Care Center. She was born on May 13, 1940, in a house near Ackley, to John and Susie (Nevenhoven) Reints.

Bazetta grew up and attended school in Ackley. She loved telling people about her being from Ackley and how her dad was the chief of police in Ackley from the 1950’s to early 60’s, before he passed away. Bazetta would always attend Ackley Sauerkraut Days, parades in Ackley, as well as parades in surrounding towns.

Constance Y. “Connie” Hardee, 89

Constance Y. “Connie” Hardee, 89, of Shell Rock, died Saturday, Nov. 28, 2020 at home of natural causes.

She was born April 29, 1931 in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, the daughter of John and Ethel (Hunt) Anderson. 

Connie married William Hardee on August 9, 1951 in Cedar Falls; he preceded her in death on December 28, 1986.

She worked at the Stanley Dealer, in housekeeping at the Red Fox Inn and was a homemaker. Connie also fostered over 20 children – 19 boys and 1 girl.
