Julie Helmke, 59, of Hampton, passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at MercyOne Medical Center in Mason City. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, March 29, 2021 at the Sietsema-Atkinson Funeral Home in Hampton. A private family funeral service will be held.

Julie Helmke was born on September 22, 1961 in Hampton, Iowa to Jack and Maribel (Fredericks) Murphy. She graduated from Hampton High School and from La James College in Mason City.

She is survived by her son Colin (Angela Martinez) Helmke of Hampton, grandchildren Hayden and Bentley Helmke of Hampton, siblings Sandy Scallon of Ackley, Terry Murphy of Hampton, Nancy (Rick) Mast of Hampton and Robert (Erin) Murphy of Hampton and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
