Wise Choice Detailing Holds Grand Opening

The Wise Choice Detailing team held their grand opening celebration on Saturday, May 3.

The crew also celebrated becoming a member of the Greater Franklin County Chamber of Commerce that morning with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Owner Ron WIse told the Chronicle he was excited to join the Chamber and finally see his dream of opening his business come true. Throughout the day, community members stopped by for $15 car washes. Whoever stopped by for a car wash also left with a $20 voucher for their next service. 

Wise Choice Detailing is located at 1014 4th St. NE, the former BSA Auto building, and they’re open Tuesday through Thursday. Details can be scheduled by appointment. If interested in scheduling one, call 641-531-9211.Cash or card accepted. 

Wise has worked in auto restoration and painting for more than twenty years. 

“I’ve always worked to make things pretty,” he said. “When detailing became popular in 2020, I did it to make extra money and I thought it was something I could seriously get into.” 

Wise said that he found the Hampton location on a whim, and that it was everything he was looking for. 

“My intent is to be a part of the community,” Wise said. “I want to be helpful. I do coaching and scouts. I wanted my business to stay local.” 

While Wise Choice Detailing isn’t full-time as of yet, Wise said that is the goal.
