Where did “In this together” go?

When the COVID-19 pandem-ic started in March, a variation on the phrase “In this togeth-er” was seen on almost every social media post, store win-dow or poster seen throughout town.

At first, that sense of unity was felt and compassion was abundant.

But in the last couple months, that sentiment seems as much a part of the past as the freedom to safely and con-fidently exit our homes. It seems as though nothing can be done without an opinion or criticism, whether related to the pandemic or not.
