Franklin County Auditor
means people wanting to run as a Democrat or Republican candidate. If someone wants to run as “no party”, the deadline to file nomination paperwork is Tuesday June 2nd at 5PM.
The offices up for election are County Supervisor – District 1 (Geneva/Ingham/East Mott, Grant/Osceola, Hamilton/Reeve, Hampton 2, and Marion), County Supervisor – District 2 (Hampton 1, Hampton 3, & Hampton 4), County Treasurer, County Recorder, and County Attorney. We will be open
until 5PM on Friday to accept nomination papers.
•Tuesday March 24th is the first day that you can submit a request for an absentee ballot.
Please note that ballots will not be mailed until May 13th, but you can mail or drop off your
request form any time after Tuesday of next week.
•Public Test – The public test of machines to be used in the Primary Election will be May 7th.
This is open to the public and more information will be coming in the week or two prior!
•May 13th is the first day for in-person absentee voting and for us to mail requested absentee
ballots. In-Person absentee voting will take place at the Courthouse from May 13th – June 1st
during normal business hours (8AM-5PM) and on Saturday May 30th from 7:30AM-3:30PM.
•To vote in the Primary Election, voters must “declare” a party, either Republican or
Democrat. If you need or want to change your party to vote in the Primary, doing it prior to
the Election is best. Voters will be able to change their party again after the Primary election.
