OnTheGoMedia Completes Acquisition of the Hampton Chronicle

Hampton, Iowa -- OnTheGoMedia, Inc., parent company of 104.9 KLMJ-FM and 99 The Wave (98.9 KQCR-FM), officially completed the acquisition of the Hampton Chronicle on April 2, 2026. This move ensures the continuation of the community’s print edition, with the first issue under new ownership arriving April 8th.

A key part of the strategy to maintain the print publication is increasing subscriber volume. To encourage this growth, OnTheGoMedia is introducing a new annual subscription rate of $65—a savings of over 15% off newsstand pricing. The upcoming edition will also debut a new weekly "Athlete of the Week" feature to highlight local student-athletes.
