Nicholas Quasdorf to Represent Franklin REC in Washington, D.C.

Franklin REC recently announced that Nicholas Quasdorf was selected to attend the weeklong Youth Tour in Washington, D.C. this summer.
While there, the H-D-CAL junior will have the chance to explore cooperative principles, visit historic landmarks and engage with elected officials.
Quasdorf is involved with cheer, speech, track, tennis, the school’s intercultural club and fine arts. In his free time, he enjoys playing card and board games and learning about math and history.
On his application, Quasdorf wrote that he saw the Youth Tour as a way to learn, meet new people and make new memories. During the interview process, he said that he was inspired to apply for the program by his classmate, Isaac Vosburg, who had previously completed it and encouraged him to do the same
(Editor’s note: I was one of the people to interview Nicholas for this opportunity. I would like to add that we were very impressed with his passion, professionalism and eagerness to represent his community in Washington, D.C. I wish him the best of luck, and I know he’ll do great.)
