Morton, Rieken, Swieter and Aalbers Selected to NCC All-Conference Teams

The 2025 all-conference softball teams for the North Central Conference have been announced. Thirty-four total players made up the first, second and third teams, with four Hampton-Dumont-CAL Bulldogs being selected. Senior Charlee Morton was selected to the first team all-conference, senior Mallory Rieken and sophomore Addison Aalbers were selected to the second team all-conference while eighth grader Aliyah Swieter was selected to the all-conference third team. 

 

Morton was an absolute dominant force at the plate for the Bulldogs this season, hitting for a .426 batting average and .493 on-base percentage. Morton collected 13 singles, six doubles and led the team with seven home runs and 23 RBIs. Morton played second base for the Bulldogs and finished with a .957 fielding percentage and only committed two errors. 

 

Rieken was the leadoff hitter for the Bulldogs and posted a .292 batting average with a .329 on-base percentage. Rieken picked up 16 singles, five doubles and drove in four runs while leading the team with 16 runs scored. Rieken manned shortstop and had a .958 fielding percentage white committing four errors. 

 

Aalbers was also a key contributor to the Bulldogs offense, hitting .351 with a .368 on-base percentage with all 26 of her hits being singles. Aalbers also drove in four runs on the season and led the team with 15 stolen bases. She played the outfield and had a .976 fielding percentage, committing only one error all season. 

 

Swieter had a really good offensive season in her first season of varsity softball. She posted a .338 batting average with a .387 on-base percentage and collected 14 singles, seven doubles, two triples and eight RBIs. Swieter was the starting catcher for the Bulldogs and posted a .957 fielding percentage while committing six errors.
