Model Railroad Club hosts annual Show & Sale

The North Central Iowa Model Railroad Club packed the Franklin County Convention Center with vendors for their ninth annual Model Railroad Show & Sale on Sunday, October 31.

Everything was on track at the Franklin County Convention Center on Sunday, October 31 as the North Central Iowa Model Railroad Club hosted their ninth annual Model Railroad Show & Sale.

"We had a great morning," said club president Gene Elphic. "It looks like the vendors sold quite a bit of stuff."

Twenty vendors across more than a hundred tables had model trains and accessories for sale for the show, drawing in model train enthusiasts from around the area to browse their wares.

Meanwhile, the club showed off their own displays and offered some lunch options so visitors could eat while they shopped.

Always set for the last Sunday in October, the show brings in vendors from across the Midwest. This is the first show they've had since the renovations on the convention center were completed.

"Our vendors, their mouths fell open when they walked in," said Elphic.
