Library and Theatre Host Book-Movie Challenge

The Friends of the Hampton Public Library and the Windsor Theatre teamed up for a special book-movie challenge this winter.

Community members were encouraged to read "The Housemaid," before watching it at the theatre on Sunday, Jan 4.

Those who borrowed the book from the library received a discount coupon for their movie ticket, which will be reimbursed by the Friends of the Hampton Public Library.

A total of 71 people attended the movie on Sunday.

When asked if the book was better than the movie, Hampton Public Library Director Suzy Knipfel said "of course," but she may be biased.

Another challenge is scheduled for March — details to come.
