Hampton's Newest Officer A Familiar Face to Many

Joe Metz, Hampton-Dumont class of 1991 grad, is the City of Hampton's newest edition to the police force. Metz was formally introduced at last night's Hampton City Council meeting but actually came on to the force as a full-time officer in November last year. Metz, who is from Hampton but now lives in lowa Falls, was able to be hired by the city as a direct result of the city council's vote to loosen residency requirements for officers in late October of last year, a measure which was supported by the Hampton PD.
