Hampton’s United Women in Faith chapter, a Methodist organization, held their yearly bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 22 to help raise funds for non-profits in the area.

They typically raise a few thousand dollars in donations, which they disperse to nearly 25 different charities and non-profits around the community.

The bazaar had a coffee bar where Pat Sackville and other women donated their time to set up and bake food for everyone that had attended. There were over ten different options for food, accompanied by a small donation bowl, where community members were encouraged to donate before going through the line. These women also helped sell the baked goods that people had made and brought. There were all sorts of pies, as well as some cupcakes and cookies.

One of the more popular areas was what Pat had called “The Trash and Treasure room,” where everything was donated by people around the area, it consisted of many wood objects, glassware and furniture. As well as whole collection of old M&M collectibles. Nothing in the room had been priced, because they were all free will donations. Once the bazaar wrapped up, the leftovers in this area were packed up and taken to CW Thriftstore in Iowa Falls.

There was also a section with multiple tables stocked with handmade crafts and projects that had been made by members and friends of the church that had wanted to help with the event. Most of them had been knitted or crocheted. Next to this area was the silent auction, where people could write their name down and a bid on an item that they wanted to buy. These were the bigger, higher ticket items. Pat’s sister had even donated a homemade blanket to the silent auction.
