As we get closer to closing out another beautiful September in Hampton, many will be inspired to take a scenic drive around the county much as local attorney at law Fred Alvin Harriman and his companions, A.W. Beed, G.F. Beed, H.L. Harrison and N. A. Inglis may have done on a fall day on September 29th 1905. What is known is that the five piled into Harriman’s Oldsmobile open touring car and headed down to Geneva to check out some businesses there, but never made it.
