Franklin Wellness Center Director Invites Community to Appreciation Night

Franklin Wellness Center Director Chad Johnson invites community members to stop by for their appreciation night on Thursday, June 12, from 5 to 7 p.m.
The first 200 people to arrive at the event will receive a free meal consisting of a burger, chips and a water. The Franklin County Cattlemen will be in attendance, grilling up burgers for those who stop by. There will also be a membership discount of 20 percent off for those who sign up that night.
“Our community has been wonderful to work with,” Johnson said. “We’ve raised over $900,000 in our last R3 campaign. That’s just phenomenal raising that much money. I appreciate that and the wellness center appreciates that and we are holding the appreciation night because of it.”
Johnson noted that community members can donate $50, $75 or $100 to have their name engraved on a brick, which will be put on display in front of the building.
Johnson, who took over as director last February, said he’s really enjoyed his time at the wellness center so far.
“I absolutely love my job,” he said. “I love working with the people here and getting to see everyone who comes in. You can tell when people are excited to come into the gym … that’s my favorite part of the job.”
The wellness center was opened nearly 20 years ago, on Dec. 5, 2005.
