A nuisance building in down-town Hampton will soon be demolished.
The Hampton City Coun-cil at its Thursday, Oct. 24 regular meeting approved a contract with Peterson Back-hoe, of Dumont, for $68,840 for the demolition of the building located at 115 and 117 First Ave., commonly known as the “Cross Building.”
City Manager Ron Dunt said demolition is expected to begin in mid-November and progress through the winter with a contracted finish of March 1, 2020.
