City, school parks closed to the public

Hampton City parks will be closed until further notice. Last Tuesday, the City of Hampton issued a statement that all city owned parks and playground equipment will be closed to the public in an effort to promote social distancing and limit the spread of COVID-19.

Since social distancing measures and mandates to hold gatherings to fewer than 10 people have been put into place, city staff and the Hampton Police Department have received and responded to numerous reports of large gatherings of children on playground equipment and basketball courts.
