Bulldogs Girls Wrestling Defeats Eagles in Quad at Independence

INDEPENDENCE - The Hampton-Dumont-CAL girls wrestling team defeated the Saydel Eagles 42-19, and lost to the Independence Mustangs 40-36 and to the Sumner-Fredericksburg Cougars 54-18 in quad at Independence High School on Saturday, Jan. 3.

 

In the win in the dual over the Eagles, junior Adriana Gomez, junior Marlee Maas, freshman Skylar Borcherding, sophomore Juliet Koch, junior Elsie Kuper and junior Avalon Mulford all won their matches via forfeit. Senior Maren Subbert won her match via fall at 1:29.

 

In the loss in the dual versus the Mustangs, Kuper, Subbert and Mulford won their matches via forfeit. sophomore Megan Severs won her match via fall at 7:54 and Koch won her match via fall at 1:27.

In the loss in the dual versus the Cougars, Kuper, Subbert and Mulford all won their matches via forfeit. The girls wrestled in the NCC quad at home on Monday, Jan. 5 and their next meet is the NCC girls and boys double duals at home on Thursday, Jan. 8 at 6 p.m.
