High school students across the state may soon have a new school activity to join as a team of Iowa educators work to develop the Iowa High School Esports Association.
Over the last several years the popularity of esports has grown exponentially. Fans pack stadiums while millions more watch online to see professional teams compete in games like "DOTA 2," "Rainbow Six: Siege," and "Fortnite" for multi-million-dollar prize pools.
