Joyce Ann Green, 77

Joyce Ann Green, 77, of Hampton, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Hampton United Methodist Church, with visitation held one hour prior to the service.  Inurnment will take place in the Hampton Cemetery. Woodley Funeral Home and Crematory of Hampton is caring for Joyce and her family.

Joyce Ann Green was born January 18, 1946, in Hampton, the daughter of Marion and Gretchen (Roemer) Green. She graduated from Hampton Community High School and furthered her education at Hamilton Business College in Mason City. Joyce worked at various businesses in Mason City before returning back to Hampton in the 1980s. She then worked at the Hampton Public Library as an aide until her retirement in the mid-90s.

Joyce was a member of the Hampton United Methodist Church where she also sang in the church choir. She did volunteer work at various places including the Hampton Christian Daycare, North Iowa Hospice Association, and Hampton Chamber of Commerce.

Joyce enjoyed playing the piano and listening to music. She also enjoyed reading, cooking and taking walks. Joyce had a love for animals, especially her cat.

Joyce is survived by her brothers Randy (Cathy) Green of Broomfield, Colorado and Roger (Tammy) Green of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; along with several cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
