The Hampton City Council voted to proceed on a major public works project Thursday Aug 10th by voting yes on resolutions 2023-20 and 2023-21. The yes votes allow the city to proceed on the project before a looming rate reset would add $175,000 to the cost. The project has been in the works for approximately three years.
In advance of the vote the city had Veenstra and Kimm, Inc. engineering of Des Moines create a plan, and had secured four bids for the project as spelled out in the plan.
