The Franklin County Arts Council presented a scholarship benefit concert on Thursday, June 9 at the Windsor Theatre. The "Windsor Big Band," consisting of musicians both local and visiting, played more than a dozen classic instrumental songs at the concert, raising funds through freewill donations. "We use that fund to give scholarships to seniors in Franklin County high schools," said Leon Kuehner. Starting in 2011, the Franklin County Arts Council has given out more than $25,000 in scholarships to area students that have gone on to study fine arts.
