The Hampton City Council was in-and-out in short order on Thursday, January 27 as their regular meeting lasted all of fifteen minutes.
At the meeting, the council approved a lease renewal between the City of Hampton and Woolstock Mutual Telephone Association for the use of the city's water tower. Woolstock uses the tower to host an antenna that provides wireless internet and pays the city, $950 per month for the space, which is paid in advance for the year.
The council also set a public hearing for the total maximum property tax for Monday, February 21 at 6:00 p.m.
