Todd Donald Koch, 59

Todd Donald Koch, 59, of Geneva, Iowa, passed away Thursday, June 17, 2021, at Iowa Specialty Hospital in Belmond. He was born on February 2, 1962, in Hampton, Iowa, to Don Koch and Sharon Schear.

Todd graduated from Ackley Geneva High School in 1980 and from Hawkeye Tech in diesel mechanics. He spent most of his career working on the Geneva family farm, driving truck and working for Midwest Meter.

Todd enjoyed dirt track races, watching NASCAR, farming, hunting, fishing at the pit, riding motorcycle, and "shooting the breeze" with his neighbors and friends over a cold drink. He loved watching his daughter Taylor play softball and run track in her younger years and enjoyed quality time cruiser car racing and fishing with her as an adult.

Todd married Stacey in Sturgis, South Dakota in 2012, and welcomed three kids to his family.

He was a wonderful father and grandfather, and taught his daughter and grandsons all the details of farm life. He was a very patient and wise man, knew many things, and will always be loved for all the wisdom he so eagerly shared with us.

Todd had a friendly personality and a quirky, quiet sense of humor, commonly known amongst his friends as "Toddisms."

Todd is survived by his mother Sharon Schear of Hampton; daughter Taylor Koch of Thornton; wife Stacey Koch of Geneva and children Jade, Alex, and Haylee; sister Tori (David) Badger of Zimmerman, Minnesota; grandchildren Justin and Emmett, niece Kourtney Badger, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his father Don, and his nephew Kyle Badger.

A private family burial will take place at the Lindenwood Cemetery, rural Geneva.  A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 7, 2021, at Koch's Kove, rural Geneva.  Additional information will be announced prior to this date.
