IOWA FALLS – Brynn Smith posted a match-high 20 kills in a 3-1 non-conference win for AGWSR over Hardin County rival Iowa Falls-Alden on Tuesday, Sept. 29.
Taylor Sperfslage added 13 more kills as the Cougars improved to 5-8 overall with the signature victory over a bigger school, 25-15-, 22-25, 25-14, 25-22.
MaKenna Kuper, who added seven kills, led the way with two blocks. Natalie Gerstein, who distributed 39 of the team’s 51 assists, also was 23-of-23 serving with a pair of aces.
Libero Haleigh Homeyer tallied a team-high 23 digs for coach Jill Smith’s team.
