Carol Beth (Kinsel) Wosepka
Carol Beth (Kinsel) Wosepka, 89, was welcomed into Heaven on July 2nd 2020 through her faith in Jesus Christ. She was residing at the Rehabilitation Center of Hampton.
Carol was born December 10, 1930, to Beulah (Shugar) and Ellsworth Kinsel in Ackley, Iowa. She graduated from Hampton High School and married Donald Wosepka on New Year’s Day in 1949.
Early in her married life she worked for the First National Bank in Hampton. When they began their family, she stopped working outside the home. In 1980, she embarked on a new career and went to American Airline Travel School to become a travel agent. She worked at the Hampton Travel Planner for many years and enjoyed traveling around the world. Always up for an adventure, this was perfect for her.
She is survived by her children, Jolaine (Charly) Hekela, Scott (Margaret) Wosepka and Claudia (Brent) Thielen, along with her grandchildren, Holly Thielen, Alicia (Chad) Rolland, Spencer Thielen, Brian (Amelia) Wosepka, five great grandchildren, and her best friend, Ruthann Small, who will miss her greatly.
Her home, spending time with family, church, traveling and golf were some of her favorite things, but visiting her children and grandchildren made her eyes light up. She enjoyed decorating her home for all holidays. She made beautiful birthday cakes for everyone in her family. She loved making people happy.
To know her was to love her. While her memory faded with Alzheimer’s, we still could see glimpses of her faith and fun loving nature in her little giggle, warm smile and kind eyes. A good friend to many, Carol was always ready to lend a helping hand, with words of advice, or a warm hug that felt like home.
Carol had an unwavering faith in God. She was a member of the United Methodist Church for many years and later a member of Faith Baptist Church. She played the piano in both churches and was in many church events, councils, directed Christmas programs and choir.
She was met at Heavens gates by her husband Don, parents Ells and Beulah, in-laws Lyle and Gail Wosepka, family and friends, including Kermit Neubauer and many furry friends who loved to be spoiled by her.
Because we know you loved Carol as we did, we do wish to celebrate her life with you. That said, we do understand if you are not comfortable attending during these times; know that we will feel your love and prayers. For those of you who wish to join us, services will be on Thursday, July 16th at 2:30 pm. at Faith Baptist Church in Hampton. We encourage you to wear a mask to help protect everyone in attendance.
Memorials may be directed to the family at PO Box 403, Hampton, Iowa 50441.
