Rainbows throughout town accented a mostly sunshine filled week last week.
Hamptonites adorned windows and porches with rainbows to greet passersby. This effort was a continuation of the recent challenge to leave bears and stuffed animals within sight from streets and sidewalks.
Information provided to the Hampton Chronicle said that rainbows were chosen because they are seen as a sign of hope and how a rainbow symbolizes brighter days ahead.
From April 8 through April 14, homeowners are challenged to place Easter eggs in windows in celebration of Easter.
