La Luz Hispana becomes La Luz Centro Cultural

A new name for a Hampton-based outreach organization reflects its mission to celebrate those who walk through its doors.

Formerly La Luz Hispana, La Luz Centro Cultural changed its name to encompass all the programs and services it offers.

“It’s more apparent that we are a cultural center, we offer programming and events,” said Aimee Lenth, Associate Director of La Luz. “What we do is in the name.”
“It show’s we’re a cultural hub,” added Executive Director Claudia Rivera.
