William (Bill) Owen Foss, 67

William (Bill) Owen Foss, 67, passed away on February 22, 2022, at Accura Health Care in Pleasantville, Iowa. Bill Foss was born in Belmond, Iowa, on May 3, 1954, to Norman and Helen Foss and grew up in Latimer, Iowa, where he graduated from CAL Community High School. He was a member of the CAL band, participated in drama, and enjoyed golfing at the Latimer Golf Club. He later graduated from Westmar College in Le Mars, Iowa with an economics degree. He was a member of Westmar's choir which toured Europe. Bill held a variety of positions in Iowa, Denver, Colorado and Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Bill will be fondly remembered and appreciated by his family for the loving care he selflessly provided their aging parents. Bill had a kind heart and was always compassionate toward others. He had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed playing pranks on his older brothers. His family teased him about his "gift of gab."

He is survived by his brothers, John (Carol) Foss of Esko, Minnesota; Bob (LuAnn) Foss of Colfax, Iowa; sister-in-law Nancy Foss of Bend, Oregon and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Edwin.

The family would like to thank the staff of Accura Health Care in Pleasantville as well as Suncrest Hospice for the care and support they have provided Bill and our family. Cards can be sent to Bob Foss, 1227 S. Goodrich St., Colfax, IA 50054. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to the Alzheimer's Association.

A public graveside service will be held at the Alexander Cemetery on Monday, February 28, at 11 AM.

Counsell Woodley Funeral Home of Hampton cared for Bill and his family.
